Immanuel – the Comic Book
The Immanuel project is the teamwork of two people—Jonathan & Ruth. Jonathan is the creator/illustrator/designer/publisher of the comic book, Immanuel – an Illustrated Story of the Life of Jesus. Ruth is the editor/fundraiser/promoter/manager of the book. The printed books designated for prison ministries and nonprofit organizations are not for sale.
More than 24,000 books have been printed so far by Color House Graphics Inc (Grand Rapids, MI). The books were distributed to various prisons, correctional centers and other nonprofit organizations.
A Chinese translation is available online. A Spanish translation is in process. We also plan to get a combined-condensed edition, and we hope to get a French translation in the future, as well as many other language translations.
The cartoon Bible stories are very suitable for prison and nonprofit ministries. The graphic novel format is especially attractive for younger people and those who are turned off by religious materials. It is also very helpful for those with lower reading ability or interest. We have received many positive feedback comments about the book from our readers. We hope and pray that many will come to know him by reading his stories in this comic book.

Jesus – Immanuel
Jesus is like no other person who has ever lived. He was born in a small town and grew up as a carpenter. He never wrote a book or traveled more than 100 miles from his home country. He had no servants but people called him Master. He had no formal education but they called him Teacher. He had no medicines but they called him Healer. He lived a righteous life and committed no crime but people killed him. He was buried in a tomb. But after three days he was seen alive by hundreds of people.
He claimed that he is God and he is the way to eternal life. No one knows what he looked like, yet there are pictures of him everywhere. His life has influenced the whole world throughout the centuries. People have different opinions about Jesus.
Come and explore the life of Jesus from the Bible, illustrated in comic book style. Read the entire book before you decide what to believe about Jesus and what the Bible says. Then form your own conclusions about him.
